The inside of the Maxtra+ filter cartridge consists of two components:
- Ion exchange resins containing hydrogen ions (also known as water softening resins) that meet food standards, have the effect of reducing metal impurities such as copper and lead as well as reducing water hardness. Tap water effectively protects kettles and other from scaling. Softening tap water, effectively protecting water heaters and other kitchen appliances from lime scaling.
- Coconut shell activated carbon particles effectively remove impurities that affect the taste of water such as chlorine, harmful organic impurities and other contaminants.
